Long Island Cafe is located on Isle of Palms in the shopping center by the grocery store. This restaurant has been open for more than 40 years, making it a long standing staple of locals. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time! Prices for entrees are around $30 to $50.
Small but Sweet
This restaurant is leaning towards the smaller side, however it has a nice clean beach feel to it. The staff made us feel like family and we even met a lot of the regular patrons and chatted with them! They gave wonderful recommendations. That type of hospitality does not go unnoticed.
Must Try
I got the pan seared mahi with veggies and mashed potatoes. My mom got pretty much the same thing but Salmon instead. I highly recommend getting the salmon, though my Mahi was tasty as well. It was the kind of fish that just melts in your mouth. For dessert we tried the peanut butter ice cream pie which was amazing. P.S. the staff was very attractive when I went there.
