Cilantro Noodle

Overall: 7.1

Cilantro Noodle is an authentic Vietnamese spot located in Plaza Midwood. I stopped in here for lunch to give it a try and thought it was fairly decent. I ordered the spicy thai wings (they were out of the Korean sauce). It was $15 for 10 wings which I feel is a reasonable price. My wings were adequately sauced up and tasted really good. My one drawback is that they are fried, which isn’t usually my preferred method. Some of them were lacking meat too, but overall I enjoyed them!

Good for Takeout

Plaza Midwood is usually a nightmare when it comes to parking, so it is very nice that there is a little parking lot reserved for cilantro noodle customers. When I walked it I was less than impressed. They have a cutely painted wall (seen in the photo), but other than that it is pretty dingy. There are lots of TVs everywhere but they are blank. There were chairs and boxes stacked up in one corner of the restaurant too. Overall it was kind of just lacking light and a brighter feel. I would probably get takeout next time I go.

Extensive Menu

Now I realize I have only been here once and tried the wings, when they have so much more to offer. I will be back to try the Pho, Boa Buns, and build your own bowls. I am curious if trying those would increase my ranking.

I also want to mention that the staff was so sweet! I was sitting alone eating my wings and one of the employees came up to me 5 minutes after and asked if she could bring me a water. Considering this is an order at the front type place, I thought her going out of her way was very thoughtful!
