Boxcar Betty’s has locations in Charleston and Charlotte, but I have only been to the one in CHS. I ordered the ‘Boxcar’ without peach slaw and it was everything I hoped for. The pickles with the sauce were perfect and the pimento cheese was the cherry on top! I also go the sweet potato fries with honey mustard which were salty and not too crispy.
No Frills
I ordered to-go and will say that the inside is pretty basic. There are only a couple tables outside and the parking situation at this location is not great. The ‘Boxcar’ costs around $13 and the sweet potato fries are around $5. I would highly recommend this place, I think the chicken sammy is in my top 5 for chicken sandwiches in Charleston.
