Bessinger’s orginally started in 1960 in Holly Hill, SC and has been engrained in the Charleston community for quite some time. I got the Big Joe BBQ sandwich with a side of mac & cheese. It was sooooo good. The BBQ had plenty of sauce and was so moist. The mac and cheese was similar to how my Grandmommy makes hers so of course I loved it!
Classic BBQ
We didn’t go inside to eat, we went through the drive-thru. I feel like this is a unique perk when it comes to BBQ joints. The inside seems pretty average from what I did see. My one complaint is that the drive thru took a long time and there were mic issues that were annoying when trying to order. The sandwich was $10 and the side of mac was $4 so overall a pretty affordable spot.
