Southern Roots Smokehouse is located over in West Ashley, I pass it on my way out to Stono Ferry. I went here right after work during happy hour which meant my beer was only around $3 – in today’s world I feel like that is almost unheard of. The wings I had were out of this world (Sweet Bourbon BBQ) + the mac and cheese reminded me of a homemade dish from my grandma.
Date Night
I loved the staff here, especially since I was dining alone. The bartender even shook my hand! The space itself is huge and they typically have live music along with their giant outdoor area. Seems like a spot that is dominated by regulars. If you are over this way definitely duck in!
