Copper

Overall: 9.2

Copper has been a staple in Charlotte’s food scene for over a decade. Nestled into one of the historic homes on East Boulevard in Dilworth, the charm of the location is as good as the food! With dim, moody lighting – I found this to be a perfectly romantic date night spot.

Incredible Classics

I ordered the Murgh (chicken) Tikka Masala which was $21. For how much food I was given I felt that price was more than fair. The waitress was amazing when she learned it was my first time having Indian food and ran me through the ‘spice levels’ and I ended up going with medium. It had a kick (which I like), but was good for me as a newby. I was honestly shocked by how much I loved this. It was great with the rice and to use to dip my garlic naan in!

Bread is a Must

Move over mozzarella sticks – there is a new cheesy bread in town! We started dinner off with an appetizer. We tried the “Disco” Bhatura, which is bread stuffed with cheese, onion, ajwain, and  jalepeno served with a smoked paprika dip. WOW! I could have eaten this whole thing by myself and the dip was *chefs kiss*. I also will not and cannot shut up about their garlic naan – I would legitimately just order it for takeout. SO GOOD!

Options, Options, Options

Ben ordered the Lamb Kozhambu ($25) and this dish is a bit spicier. He thought it was fantastic and actually finished the whole thing. Our waitress was so sweet and boxed up the sauce for us and gave us extra rice to take home!
