Sushi Taku opened in Charlotte in the old location of Lincoln’s Haberdashery on South Boulevard back in 2025. This is an all you can eat sushi spot, but I typically opt just to order off the menu. The all you can eat dinner is around $32 and they have several ‘combination’ meals for sushi and entrées. I ordered the Crazy Kani Roll ($14) and it was huge. SO filling and very fresh – the proportions were perfect for an entrée.
Warm Wooden Ambiance
They have completely revamped the place. All of their lighting is warm with minimal harsh overhead lighting. They even have some purple/pink lighting at the front with life size characters. It only took a few minutes to be seated despite how crowded it was. The place is huge!
Amazing Apps
I was absolutely blown away by the appetizer selection. There are over a dozen options and the prices range from around $4 to $8. We ordered the crab rangoons (4 total) and the steam gyoza (6 total). Each of these appetizers were only $4! There was plenty of meat in the gyoza and the rangoons were just the right amount of crispy. I would absolutely come here and just order a ton of appetizers.
Wine Deals
Following suit with the appetizers – the wines were extremely affordable. Tanner got Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc ($9) and I got the red blend ($8). We also found out that they do 1/2 price wine on Thursdays. This would be a great way to enjoy a girls night or date night without breaking the bank!
